Mayor of London and TUFF FC launch ‘THRIVE London’ project
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, launched his new flagship mental health programme ‘THRIVE London’ together with TUFF on 4th July 2017. The event took place in Stepney Green Park, East London, and was marked by a football exhibition involving TUFF FC teams from around London. Sadiq was presented with golden football boots which the kids had contributed towards.
The launch event marks TUFF FC’s increased focus on using the beautiful game to highlight mental health issues with support of the Mayor of London.
The Mayor spoke to the youths from TUFF FC and was involved in a workshop which discusses the many situation youth are facing due to mental Health.
TUFF is fully committed to the vital issue of addressing poor mental health among Londoners and has also launched a trauma support project to help the survivors of Grenfell Tower fire.
